  • Why are programmers reluctant to write specs ? Well, writing is hard. Writing is hard, in fact, because thinking is hard. Thinking doesn't guarantee that you won't mistakes, but not thinking generally guarantees that you will. - Leslie Lamportarrow-up-right

  • Writing is nature's way of letting you know how sloppy your thinking is - Guindon

  • We live on an island surrounded by a sea of ignorance. As our island of knowledge grows, so does the shore of our ignorance. - John Archibald Wheeler

  • With money you can buy a house but not home, With money you can buy a clock but not time, With money you can buy a bed but not sleep, With money you can buy food but not appetite, With money you buy a doctor but not good health, With money you can have insurance but not safety. • कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन । मा कर्मफलहेतुर्भुर्मा ते संगोऽस्त्वकर्मणि ॥ - Bhagawad Gitaarrow-up-right You have the right to perform your actions, but you are not entitled to the fruits of the actions. Do not let the fruit be the purpose of your actions, and therefore you won’t be attached to not doing your duty.

  • Our brain is not the SOURCE of knowledge. It is the RECEIVER. - Nikola Tesla We live believing we are the creators of everything we think (e.g. new research idea, new perspective, etc). The mistake is believing that we are the transmitter, when in reality, we are the radio. Most of our daily thoughts are automatic receptions. They are waves we pick up from our environment. Our mind doesn't create from scratch: it receives and amplifies. When you have a "big idea" or a sudden intuition, you didn't create it. You downloaded it! Your vibration/frequency was right enough for your antenna to capture the information from the universe. Interestingly, this is also a possible reason why some of the exact same discoveries happen (almost) simultaneously by people across the globe without them even collaborating with each other. It seems almost coincidental but maybe all they did was to tune into the "right" frequency when the universe was sending a signal ? Moreover, we should not make the mistake of assuming that if we download a specific idea from the environment, then that becomes OUR idea. - Oshoarrow-up-right [video link] arrow-up-right

  • Empty your mind! Be formless, shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend! - Bruce Leearrow-up-right
